This in vitro diagnostic device utilizes immunochromatographic (colloidal gold) technology for the rapid, qualitative detection of anti-Chikungunya virus IgM and IgG antibodies in human serum, plasma, or whole blood samples.

Technology & Methodology

The test operates on a lateral flow immunoassay principle. Recombinant Chikungunya virus antigens are immobilized on the nitrocellulose membrane at distinct test lines (T-IgM and T-IgG). When a sample is applied, anti-CHIKV antibodies bind to the antigen-colloidal gold conjugate, forming visible colored lines at the respective test lines.
