Detection Principle & Target
The test employs a sandwich immunochromatographic principle. The test line (T line) and control line (C line) on the strip are pre-coated with specific monoclonal antibodies against the MPXV antigen. If the sample contains the MPXV antigen, it will bind to the gold-conjugated antibody on the conjugate pad. This complex then migrates and is captured by the antibodies on the T line, forming a visible colored line. The appearance of the C line indicates the test procedure is valid. This technology primarily targets antigens expressed early in MPXV infection, facilitating early-stage screening.
